The storyThe Sun to Umbreon's Moon
Espeon and Umbreon debuted together in Gold and Silver. Sun and moon. Day and night. Psychic and Dark. The pairing was intentional, and collectors recognise it.
“Typically second place among Eeveelutions behind Umbreon”
In every set where both appear, Umbreon leads and Espeon follows. Prismatic Evolutions continues this pattern. Espeon claims a strong second place, valued above most other Eeveelutions but below its dark counterpart.
The collector appeal is established. Psychic-type enthusiasts target Espeon specifically. Collectors building complete Eeveelution sets need it. Those who have Umbreon often want Espeon to complete the original Gen II pair.
